All are welcome to join in Zen meditation practice. Whether you are familiar with this tradition or considering Zen for the first time, we invite you to sit with us. In order to ensure the physical wellbeing of all, seated meditation is practiced remotely until further notice.

Seated meditation, called zazen, is at the very core of Zen practice and is, in fact, the study of the self. Master Dogen writes: “To study the Buddha Way is to study the self, to study the self is to forget the self and to forget the self is to be enlightened by the ten thousand things.” Zen meditation aligns breath, mind and body.  With dedicated practice over time, zazen can transform our life.

Sesshin, or multiple day retreats, are offered periodically as a way to deepen practice.  Sesshin means ‘touching the heart-mind”.
